this creeping forward lurching feeling known now by no other but now how could you be so big now? when all is everyday and never is forever you were my pumpkin even though you screamed non stop and I came so close to hurting you you who changed everything you who turned my understanding my heart rending naivity up-down and battered how could something smaller than a housecat devour my soul so completely and never let me know? when the winds die down and the storms move off the mountain maybe I will learn to see you better maybe you will know how to not be so four even though I'm the one who should stop being so grown up every then and now my heartbeats I'm proud of you because I cannot tell you enough.
